Ray, also known as Marcellus Rayvon Register, was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He started his rap career as a member of Team Eastside, a group he was selected for by fellow rapper Peezy. Since then he has become widely renowned as one of the most prominent figures in the Detroit rap scene.
