The Academy Award-winning Prince movie, Purple Rain is coming to the stage nearly 40 years after its silver screen debut, premiering in the dearly departed artist's hometown! The musical, which has been adapted by Obie award winner Branden Jacobs-Jenkins from William Blinn and Albert Magnoli's 1984 screenplay already has an exciting creative team on board. The Lincoln Center Theater's resident director, Lileana Blain-Cruz will be heading up the show with Orin Wolf (who recently worked with Daniel Craig in Macbeth on Broadway) on board as producer. So get ready to cry with the doves and sing along to the tunes of Prince at Purple Rain!
