We saw a beautiful performance tonight of Swan Lake by World Ballet Company.( Of course the Jester stole the show). And I was mesmerized from beginning to end. The costumes and sets were extravagant and beautiful. The dancers were all dazzling. I loved every minute of it.

To those who do not know, the Dying Swan (or "death of the swan per Patricia's review) is NOT a dance in Swan Lake. It is not part of Swan Lake, but an individual solo piece. It was never part of swan lake so it was not "removed."

I just saw or I guess I should say EXPERIECED world Ballet series Swan Lake two hours ago In Kiln, Mississippi. It was just incredible. If you dont go to see this show YOU are missing out. . This was my first live ballet performance and it just knocked me out. This crew( all of them) deserve all the praise this old man can give. Dont trust me go see it for yourself. They got a standing ovation and damn well deserved it.Ill be there if they come back this way again. And Ill be bringing some friends Thanks DJ

So whoever said they did not have a live orchestra at the Knoxville Tennessee performance was totally incorrect this was not pre-recorded music as I said on the sixth row in front of the orchestra pit. I thought this was for the most part an outstanding performance. I have seen swan Lake in New York City and in Atlanta Georgia. This was definitely on par with the ballet in Atlanta but of course the principal dancers in New York were a little better. I went with a friend who had never been to a live ballet and we had a marvelous time.

Extremely Disappointing

I've waited over 50 years to see Swan Lake, especially the Death of the Swan dance. They completely removed it. They removed the most watched, beautiful portion of the ballet. In addition, they had recorded music. No orchestra! I was beyond disappointed.
