Minnesota Orchestra - Juneteenth at Orchestra Hall

Why see Minnesota Orchestra - Juneteenth?

Emancipation Celebration

Come and celebrate the date of the final emancipation of enslaved African-American people in 1865 with the Minnesota Orchestra! For this year's Juneteenth celebrations the orchestra are joined by vocalist Jevetta Steele, poet Malcolm-Jamal Warner and boundary breaking judge and former professional Football player Justice Alan C. Page for a night of commemoration at Orchestra Hall.

On the program is the joyous Three Spirituals by Adolphus Hailstork and the Afro American Symphony by William Grant Still, one of the most important and beloved pieces of American classical music. A poignant and jubilant night with the orchestra marking this special occasion.
